We are not alone
PARTNERSHIPS & NETWORKS
HDHS works with a growing network of individual donors, community-based volunteers, local mosque and madrasa committees, and well-wishers in Bangladesh and abroad.

GEOGRAPHIC COVERAGE
HDHS’s head office is based in Dhaka, with program activities implemented across multiple districts of Bangladesh through field teams and local volunteer networks.
Areas of Operation
Disaster-response operations are scaled to reach flood, cyclone, and river-erosion affected areas as needed, including hard-to-reach char and coastal regions. Since 2017, HDHS has been tirelessly working in Cox’s Bazar districts where over a million Rohingya have sought shelter after they fled their country Myanmar amid the brutal military crackdown that was described by the UN as the textbook example of ethnic cleansing.
OUR APPROACH
Our Working Process
Needs-based targeting
beneficiaries are identified through community assessments and local verification to ensure support reaches those who need it most.
01
Direct implementation
HDHS works directly with local communities and volunteers, ensuring that support reaches people efficiently without unnecessary layers of intermediaries.
02
Rapid response & Transparency
dedicated relief protocols allow HDHS to mobilize quickly when disasters strike.
Transparency & accountability: donor contributions are tracked and, where applicable, reported back to donors.
03
Sustainability & Community partnership
HDHS promotes long-term self-reliance through livelihood and skills development, while engaging local leaders, mosque committees, and volunteers in planning and monitoring activities.
