FOCUS AREAS & PROGRAMS

HDHS’s work spans eight interconnected focus areas, each designed to address a distinct dimension of vulnerability while reinforcing the others — from immediate relief to long-term self-reliance.

Education Program

HDHS believes education is the foundation of a dignified life and works to remove barriers to schooling for underprivileged children across Bangladesh including those in the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar.

Financial and material support for school-going children from poor families (books, stationery, uniforms)
Scholarship programs for meritorious students from disadvantaged backgrounds
Support for informal and community-based learning centers in underserved areas
Adult literacy and awareness programs

The program focuses on educational assistance, scholarships, learning materials, academic support, skills development, and student-focused initiatives. Through these efforts, HDHS aims to help students remain in education, improve their learning outcomes, build confidence, and develop the knowledge and skills needed for a better future.
